Features and Benefits of the Vanderburgh Industrial Park
The VIP has solid backing and is a well established industrial park in a growing area of the US. There are very specific covenants and construction guidelines in place to assure that the VIP remains the area's premiere industrial property.
Park Features include:
- Asphalt-surfaced interior road (40' wide)
- Rolled concrete curbs, gutters and storm sewers
- Street lights
- 12" water lines
- 12" sanitary sewer lines
- 12.5 kV underground electric
- Landscaped entrance and retention ponds
- Protective covenants
- Area is pre-designated to allow for possible inventory tax exemption (as part of the "Airport Development Zone")
- Easement allowing for the extension of a spur from the Indiana-Southern Railroad
The VIP provides fiber optic cable to meet the need for faster and better communication links. AT&T is extending fiber optic cable to the park and installing an electronic switch on site. Fiber optic cable provides a common digital format via common or inter-linked networks for high speed voice, video, and data transmissions.
Specific benefits of fiber optics include:
- Greater security
- Higher data transmission rates
- Complete electrical isolation between local and remote nodes
- Freedom from crosstalk
- Freedom for electro-magnetic interference
- Absence of ground loops
- Lower signal loss per unit distance (longer distance between repeaters)
